Healing Tree Myofascial Therapy is a woman owned and operated holistic wellness facility located in Rockford, IL. We specialize in Myofascial Therapy, several massage modalities, energy work, herbalism, skincare and waxing. We have studied the John F. Barnes approach, all therapists/estheticians are Reiki 1 and 2 certified and we are licensed in esthetics, massage therapy and occupational therapy. Myofascial Therapy
JFBMFR is a safe and very effective hands on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the connective(fascial) tissue to eliminate chronic pain and restore motion. Pain relief through individual education in self-treatment, postural/movement awareness, strength and flexibility.
Energy Work
Several types of energy work are offered, including:
Reiki:
A Japanese technique used to reduce stress, promote healing and relaxation by treating the whole person(body/mind/spirit) Beneficial effects include reduction in pain, relaxation, feelings of peace, security and well being. Though it is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion.
Raindrop Therapy:
Combines aromatherapy, reflexology, and more to heal and cleanse the body. The purpose is to bring balance, a sense of harmony, and body wellness using twelve different therapeutic essential oils.
Reflexology:
A traditional Chinese treatment that involves applying different amounts of pressure to feet, hands, and ears. This is based on the theory that these body parts are connected to certain organs and body systems. This promotes flow of vital energy through the body reaching areas in need of healing.
Massage

Medical:
Massage therapy techniques are used to treat a specific medical condition.
Sports:
Use of timing, technique, and intent specific application through use of massage, range of motion/flexibility protocol and strength-training principles. Cupping can be used in addition to increase blood flow to restricted areas.
Relaxation:
A smooth gentle flowing style of massage that promotes general relaxation, relieves muscular tension, plus improves circulation and range of movement. Can be used with/without essential oils in lotion.
Deep Tissue:
Deeper and more focused massage technique that utilizes firm pressure and slower strokes to massage deep layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue that surrounds all of your muscles.)
