What Is Myofascial Release (MFR)?

Definition:

Integration of traditional therapy and other forms of holistic therapies to release dehydrated tissue. Consists of prolonged stretches to aid the body in returning to anatomical position.

  • Technique: It is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

  • Treatment: Each treatment is performed directly on the skin without oils, creams, or machinery, enabling the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate a release of the fascia.

  • Benefits: Fascial restrictions can exert excessive pressure causing all kinds of symptoms, producing pain , headaches, or even restriction of motion. Facial restrictions affect our flexibility  and stability , they are a determining factor in our ability to withstand stress and perform daily activities.
